The objective of this organization is to advance the interest of music and musicians in the Northeast Florida area. JMTA was founded in 1918 and has been an active organization in this area since that time.

FSMTA District IV Member's Recital

April 17, 2016, 6:00pm

All Saints Episcopal Church

This recital will be presented as part of All Saints Episcopal Church's Music Through the Ages Concert Series. Admission is free. A reception will follow. Please share this event with all your friends and students! Recital will last no more than 80 minutes, no intermission. An offering plate will be at the welcome table. Half the offering received will go the church's music fund, and half will go to District IV. To participate: You must be a District IV member in good standing. Your performance must be of high quality, and consist of solo piano repertoire and collaborative repertoire. Selections must be under 10 minutes. Warm up time on the piano will be available 3-5p before the recital. Performers will be included on a "first response" basis. Please contact Recital Chair Michael Mastronicola with any questions or to register. Registration deadline is April 1st.

Held annually to coincide with Memorial Day
weekend, this event has become truly international
in scope, boasting the largest, most comprehensive
competitive events for pianists steeped in the
musical genres of ragtime, honky-tonk, boogiewoogie,
traditional jazz and blues. Students up to
age 18 can compete for cash prizes and trophies in
the Junior Division while the Regular Division
contestants vie for trophies and larger prizes in
excess of $5,000. Performers compete in period
costume, are interviewed before each round, and
show their incredible musical skills in an attempt to
